When traveling within our domestic and international routes, Inter Island Airways wants to ensure that you have readily available with you the proper documents to travel domestically or when entering your destination country. We advise that you confirm with your country consulate or Embassy prior to traveling to a foreign country destination for up-to-date travel requirements and conditions of the final country destination.

Each passenger is solely responsible for obtaining and carrying the correct travel documentations when booking your travel arrangements, and traveling on Inter Island Airways flight. While traveling abroad and away from home, we also advise each passenger to carry sufficient funds to cover the length of stay and for any emergencies at all times When Traveling to a foreign country, you should carry a passport which is valid for the required time beyond your travel dates. Some countries require a passport to be valid for six months beyond the date of departure. As Travel Documents required for entry are subject to modification without notice, it is advisable to check with the consulate of each country on your itinerary or consult with your travel arranger before departure. Domestic FlightsInter Island Airways operates domestic flights between Pago Pago, American Samoa and the Manu'a Islands. On our domestic flights, we advise all travelers to have the following documents during check-in, and at all times when in the airport, boarding and flying, and disembarking on an Inter Island Airways flight:
1. IDENTIFICATION: A valid and current Government (local, US or foreign) issued drivers license, passport or US federal/state issued identification card with photo ID that identifies who you are. 2. DATE OF BIRTH: A Government-issued identification document that identifies your name in full and date of birth. 3. AIRLINE e-TICKET: A printed copy of your Inter Island Airways e-Ticket itinerary with your full and exact name printed on the e-Ticket, and valid destination and date of departure. These three documents will allow us to process, confirm and board you on any of our flights. |
International FlightsInter Island Airways operates international flights between Pago Pago, American Samoa and Apia/Faleolo in Independent Samoa. For our international flights to and from each originating point, we advise all travelers to have the following documents during check-in, and at all times when in the airport, boarding and flying, and disembarking on an Inter Island Airways flight:
1. PASSPORT: Since you will be traveling between two separate countries, all passengers are required to carry a valid and current Government issued Passport which contains a photo ID, date of birth, and country of citizenship. 2. VISA: American Samoa: In some cases, a passenger may require a VISA to enter American Samoa. VISA's may be issued from the Government of American Samoa Immigration Department. For citizens of the EU, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and other countries which have State-to-State entry and travel agreements with the United States, a VISA is not required to enter American Samoa. Confirm whether you require a VISA to enter American Samoa by visiting: http://www.travel.state.gov/. Citizens of Independent Samoa entering American Samoa requires 15-day VISA which can be requested from the American Samoa Immigration Department. Independent Samoa: US, EU, New Zealand, Australia and Canada citizens generally have a default 30-day tourist VISA when entering Independent Samoa. 3. AIRLINE e-TICKET: A printed copy of your Inter Island Airways e-Ticket itinerary with your full and exact name printed on the e-Ticket, and valid destination and date of departure. These three documents will allow us to process, confirm and board you on any of our flights. |
